What makes a speech therapy centre the right fit
"Best" isn't a claim any centre can prove with a badge, it's really about a handful of concrete things: therapists with real speech-language qualifications, an actual assessment before therapy starts (not a generic package), transparent progress tracking you can see for yourself, and a location you can realistically get to every week. That's the standard we hold ourselves to at The Outcomes ABA.
Signs your child may benefit from speech therapy
Not talking as much as other children their age, speech that's difficult to understand even for family members, a limited vocabulary for their age, trouble following multi-step instructions, or difficulty holding a back-and-forth conversation are all reasons to consider a speech-language assessment. Some children understand far more than they can express, which an assessment can help identify clearly.
Speech therapy at The Outcomes ABA
Our speech-language pathologists assess receptive and expressive language separately, since a child can be strong in one and behind in the other. Sessions blend structured practice with genuine play-based communication opportunities, and for children who are minimally verbal, we introduce augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools where appropriate. Where a child is also in ABA or occupational therapy with us, speech goals are coordinated across the whole team rather than treated as a separate track. See our full speech therapy program →
Speech therapy across our Chennai centres
Speech therapy is available at all four of our centres, KK Nagar, Porur (two locations) and Mylapore, so you can choose whichever is easiest to reach for consistent weekly sessions. Consistency with the same therapist tends to matter more than which specific centre you attend.

Common questions
Common signs include not talking as much as other children their age, unclear or hard-to-understand speech, a limited vocabulary for their age, or difficulty following instructions or holding a back-and-forth conversation. A speech-language assessment can confirm whether therapy would help.
This varies by child and by goal. Many families notice small changes, like more attempts at words or clearer sounds, within the first few months of consistent sessions, with fuller progress reviewed against specific goals at each report.
Yes. Speech therapy is available at all of our centres, so you can choose whichever is easiest to reach for regular sessions.
