What makes an early intervention centre the right fit
"Best" isn't a claim any centre can prove with a badge, it's really about a handful of concrete things: sessions genuinely built for a toddler's attention span rather than a scaled-down version of older-child therapy, heavy parent coaching since toddlers spend far more time at home than in any centre, and a team willing to start supportive therapy before a formal diagnosis is finalised. That's the standard we hold ourselves to at The Outcomes ABA.
Signs your toddler may benefit from early intervention
Limited eye contact, not responding consistently when their name is called, delayed or absent babbling and first words, limited interest in pointing, showing or sharing enjoyment with others, and a strong preference for repetitive movement or routine are all reasons to consider an early developmental screening. Younger siblings of children already diagnosed with autism, and any child a paediatrician has flagged for review, are also good candidates for an early look.
Early intervention at The Outcomes ABA
Sessions are short, play-based and low-pressure, matched to a young child's attention span rather than a clinical format. A parent is present for most or all of a session, since we coach caregivers directly rather than working with a child in isolation. Where a formal diagnostic evaluation is still in progress, we work alongside your paediatrician rather than waiting for it to start supportive therapy, focusing on foundational skills like joint attention, early communication and social engagement that later therapies build on. Early intervention across our Chennai centres
Early intervention is available at all four of our centres, KK Nagar, Porur (two locations) and Mylapore, so you can choose whichever is easiest to reach for consistent sessions. For very young children, a shorter, more frequent commute often matters more than which specific centre you attend.

Common questions
Early intervention is generally most effective when started before age 6, since the developing brain responds fastest to the right support during these years. Even so, starting later can still help, depending on your child's specific goals.
Not necessarily. Play-based, supportive early intervention can often begin based on a developmental screening while a formal diagnostic evaluation is arranged, so a family doesn't lose valuable early months waiting on a diagnosis alone.
Very involved. Toddlers spend far more time at home than in any therapy centre, so parent coaching is a core part of effective early intervention, not an optional add-on.
